Utilisation of nut shell wastes in brick, mortar and concrete: A review

Currently, growing activities in the construction sector have resulted a rapid depletion of natural resources for building material production. On other hand, agricultural industries generate huge amount residues/by-products every year around world creating environmental concerns since most these residues are burnt or disposed to landfill. However, several current studies presented potential application wastes production owing good physical and mechanical properties. Moreover, utilisation such waste materials can contribute reducing impacts by proving alternative management strategies worldwide. This paper reviews some nut shell (Argan nut, Brazil Cashew Groundnut, Hazelnut, Pistachio, Shea Walnut) three groups i.e. brick, mortar concrete.
